Finally January is over and the extra boardmeetings went well. Budgets approved, restrictions gone which will improve business further for sure. In one of the companies there is problems witih sick leave at the moment which will not give a very start of the year and already falling behind. That being said we will mitigate that during the coming spring months. ⭐️👍🏼
January was also some mix of business and pleasure. Skiing trip to Verbier 🎿 with wonderful weather and good skiing conditions. A bad fall that in the end went well, resulted in a few visits to a naprapath…😜 but in the end it was worth it. Late Jan first trip in two years overseas to San Francisco with some working but mainly pleasure for an extended weekend.🌉 Nice weather and warn for the season and not crowded at all.
Now is the period of first boardmeetings of the year and I general there is a positive flow in all companies. New clinics to be added on and new dermatologists coming in in one company and in the other our app for ordering has now been launched in all companies and we see a good transition into going from telephone and email orders to app orders and app communication. Interesting to evaluate which is the best go to market when it comes to online shops and if its B2C and B2B. I thing in almost most cases you need to take the stance and develop towards “mobile first” usability.📲
On top of all the work I am taking a short ExEd at Stockholm School of Economics in From Data to Business Impact. Interesting and a good brief insight into this topic.
This has also led me to assess other options and further development opportunities. I am in the process of assessing to take on a 12 month assignment or education abroad on top of my existing work assignments. I am considering two available options in the US for a CDO ecucation to upskill, use it in my existing role as chairman/interim CEO, at either Berkeley – Haas, California or Northwestern – Kellogg, Evanston. I have not decided which yet, but lean towards one more. We will see and decision has to be done the coming days where and then it is also if I will be accepted at all. That will be assessed in essays to be written. 📚🆙📈Stay tuned!
